Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Researcher with a focus on NLP to join our team, and help us extend the capabilities of our ML platform: a multi-component system designed to enable smoother onboarding of new use-cases and downstream tasks. Currently, the research side of the ML platform is focused on the following areas (all using transformers, e.g. BERT): multi-task learning, visual language modelling, continual learning, few-shot learning and NLP in general.
You will be working within a cross-functional team consisting of Data and ML Engineers and Researchers, closely collaborating with our Annotation, Infra, and Application teams. Your job will not be to implement a production version of any model or algorithm, but mostly to prototype and show how a novel model is performing on our data - if better than what we have, the production implementation will be taken over by our engineers.
Responsibilities
- Building novel or adjusting and combining existing ML approaches for our use-cases
- Quick prototyping of new ideas
- Take part in the organization and building of our ML platform
- Mentoring junior employees/interns and helping with papers
Qualifications
- Published papers related to our research interests (shown in bold above)
- Strong coding skills in Python
- Experience using ML/DL libraries and frameworks like PyTorch, Huggingface, JAX
- Deep understanding of core ML/DL concepts and architectures (from simple neural networks to transformers)
- GitHub repository with relevant projects
